PART TWO: Rough concepts
Alien Dad
An alien wakes up to his loud alarm clock. Frustrated by the sound he hits it. The alien is shown in short shots washing, putting on his tie and having breakfast with his human family. His family acts normal because they don't realise that he's an alien.
He kisses his wife goodbye, ruffles his son's hair and puts on his hat as he's leaving. He's shown sitting in his car in rush hour traffic getting road rage and listening to music in his car.
He arrives at work and sits in his depressing little cubicle only to discover that his boss has let him go. He packs his desk and pot plant and he leaves.
He goes for a drive in the rain and he slows down when he sees a massive bright billboard on the side of the road. It reads “Life got you down? Are you a sad loser? Join the National Space Defence now!”
The next shot is of him sitting down explaining to his family about this new opportunity, showing them a pamphlet and doing arm gestures with a massive smile on his face. They also look happy but slightly concerned.
He's being signed up by the registry person and they shake hands and he gets handed his uniform/gun/helmet.
It cuts to a scene on another planet. Alien Dad's in his uniform in complete shock, it's his home planet and everyone's being slaughtered. It's very extreme and shocking. He goes back to Earth and he signs up for an office job. He's seen sitting in another cubicle but this time he has a smile.
The End
